Move Over, Press Secretary: Pols play with Instagram
You may not have been aware, but along with supermodels, actors, designers, and us mortals, politicians have Instagrams too. This column saves you time by ranking the best political Instagrams of the past couple weeks.
Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic, stole first place when he posted pictures from a 19-slope ski resort in the Itum-Kalinskiy region owned by Chechen-born, Moscow based Russian billionaire Ruslan Baysarov. Kadyrov used the opportunity to visit the construction site of the ski resort and to reflect on the beauty of that region.
TRANSLATED: Salam Aleykum friends! The last few days I traveled and inspected Veduchi and other sites in the Itum-Kalinskiy region. In Veduchi Ruslan Baysarov [Chechen-born billionaire based in Russia] gave me a detailed explanation of the developing construction of the future skiing resort. A lot is already done. Even today the future resort attracts a lot of interest; tourists from many regions travel here. And when I traveled to the Tyualoyskiy gorge to see the site of geological work, I became convinced in the unlimited touristic potential of the region. The wilderness, the herds of deer running on the mountain slopes, the fantastic waterfalls several hundred meters high. We have lots of work ahead of us and we will continue working on this project.
Second place went to Dmitry Medvedev, former President and current Prime Minister of Russia who looked at bunnies and realized that they’re not just future fur coats.
Кролики - это не только ценный мех ...Translated: Bunnies are not only precious fur…
Third place went to Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who updated Chicago inhabitants on the location of delicious food trucks. Who doesn’t love a Mayor who keeps track of food trucks?
Daley Plaza has been taken over by 8 vehicles serving delicious food. Just FYI.
